煙草在線據(jù)泰國(guó)《民族報(bào)》報(bào)道編譯　　泰國(guó)財(cái)政部下屬的國(guó)有企業(yè)——泰國(guó)煙草專賣公司（TTM）與新加坡金龍投資公司合作設(shè)立了一個(gè)實(shí)驗(yàn)項(xiàng)目，旨在提高煙草作物對(duì)病毒性疾病的免疫能力。

　　這個(gè)項(xiàng)目是專門為弗吉尼亞烤煙、白肋煙和土耳其煙草等煙草類型而設(shè)計(jì)的，標(biāo)志著煙草首次被運(yùn)用到旨在通過提高抗病毒感染力而提高產(chǎn)量的實(shí)驗(yàn)中。

　　泰國(guó)煙草專賣公司的常務(wù)董事Torsak Chotimongkol說，該項(xiàng)目的實(shí)驗(yàn)過程可廣泛適用于其他作物和農(nóng)產(chǎn)品，并可通過可持續(xù)發(fā)展直接提高農(nóng)民的收入水平。

　　對(duì)煙農(nóng)來說，煙草的病毒性疾病是一個(gè)大問題，會(huì)導(dǎo)致煙草產(chǎn)量減少30%。

　　金龍投資公司被選為該項(xiàng)目的主要咨詢伙伴。該公司聘請(qǐng)了幾個(gè)病毒性疾病方面的專家，而且針對(duì)植物病毒和動(dòng)物病毒開展了大量的重要研究項(xiàng)目。

　　金龍投資公司總裁Chatchaval Jiaravanon表示，該項(xiàng)目將分為兩部分進(jìn)行。

　　第一部分將在印尼的病毒學(xué)實(shí)驗(yàn)室和泰國(guó)煙草專賣公司Maejo煙草試驗(yàn)站的實(shí)驗(yàn)園進(jìn)行，并將對(duì)病毒性樣本進(jìn)行收集和分析。

　　第二部分將在溫室內(nèi)種植煙草，在溫室內(nèi)的可控氣候下，可通過持續(xù)監(jiān)測(cè)煙草的培育和收獲，以對(duì)質(zhì)量提高做出評(píng)估。

　　泰國(guó)煙草專賣公司說，它希望這種共同努力將是改革泰國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)的一個(gè)重要因素，通過讓農(nóng)民提高產(chǎn)量和生產(chǎn)較高質(zhì)量的產(chǎn)品，來幫助提高價(jià)值鏈的效率。

　　該項(xiàng)目是根據(jù)可考慮到的實(shí)際商業(yè)應(yīng)用設(shè)計(jì)的，最終目標(biāo)是把生產(chǎn)的世界首批提高了病毒性免疫能力的煙草種子出口到全球。

Thailand: TTM Joins Project to Fight Viral Diseases in Plants

　　The Thailand Tobacco Monopoly (TTM), a state-owned enterprise within the Ministry of Finance, has established an experimental project in cooperation with Singapore's Gold Dragon Investment that aims to boost the immunity of tobacco plants to viral diseases.

　　The project, designed specifically around the Virginia, Burley and Turkish tobacco strains, marks the first time that tobacco has been used in an experiment that aims to increase production yields through improved resistance to viral infections.

　　The process may end up having a wide application to other plants and agricultural products, and directly improve the well-being of farmers through sustainable development, TTM managing director Torsak Chotimongkol said.

　　Viral diseases in tobacco have been a major problem for farmers, resulting in production losses of up to 30 per cent.

　　Gold Dragon Investment was chosen as the prime consulting partner for the effort. The company employs several specialists in viral diseases and has undertaken a number of important research projects focusing on plant and animal viruses.

　　It chairman, Chatchaval Jiaravanon, said the project would be undertaken in two parts.

　　The first will be conducted in Indonesia's virology laboratory and the experimental nursery of TTM's Maejo Tobacco Experimental Station and will involve viral samples being collected and analysed.

　　The second part will involve the planting of tobacco in a greenhouse, where in a controlled climate the plants will be continuously monitored through cultivation and harvest to assess the quality improvements.

　　TTM says it hopes the joint effort will be a significant factor in revolutionising the Thai agricultural industry, helping to streamline the value chain by allowing farmers to boost yields and produce higher-quality products.

　　It is designed with real-world commercial applications in mind, with the ultimate goal the production of the world's first tobacco seeds with enhanced viral immunity that would be exported around the world. Enditem
