Family-owned cigar brand Southern Draw Cigars has created an offshoot to its Jacob’s Ladder line called The Ascension in honor of the 21st birthday of Ethan Jacob Holt, the son of brand owners Robert and Sharon, who recently joined the company with his parents full-time.

For The Ascension, the Holts returned to a prototype blend of Jacob’s Ladder which uses a San Andrés wrapper and Nicaragua Habano 2000 binder instead of the Pennsylvania broadleaf wrapper and the undisclosed binder tobacco of the regular release. The fillers for both are all-Nicaraguan. The Ascension comes in one size, a box-pressed Belicoso Fino that's 5 1/2 inches long by 52 ring gauge with a typical open foot. (The regular has an uncut foot and is not pressed.)

According to the company, The Ascension cigars were rolled in September of 2016 by A.J. Fernandez in Nicaragua, and have been aging ever since. Billed as being full bodied, they have a suggested retail price of $11.79 each and come in paper-wrapped 10-packs.

根據(jù)公司披露，這批雪茄是在2016年9月份由尼加拉瓜的 A.J. 費(fèi)爾南德斯家族代工生產(chǎn)的，完工后就一直在發(fā)酵保存中。官方定義這款雪茄是濃郁口味，單支零售價是11.79美元，紙盒包裝，每盒10支。

While Ascension is a tribute to the owners’ son, Jacob’s Ladder is a biblical allusion to Jacob from the Book of Genesis, which is also reflected in the artwork for the new cigar.

雖然耶穌升天產(chǎn)品線是對伊?！ぱ鸥鞑肌せ魻柼厣盏馁R禮，但是基于雅各布的梯子表達(dá)的是《創(chuàng)世紀(jì)》中關(guān)于雅各布的圣經(jīng)故事經(jīng)典，這些也都表現(xiàn)在了新系列產(chǎn)品的包裝上。

The Ascension will first be released on a limited basis exclusively through Pennsylvania retailer Famous Smoke Shop on Thursday at only 10,000 cigars followed by a general release in January with a total of 100,000 cigars.

耶穌升天系列將在這周四通過賓夕法尼亞州零售商名煙商店限量發(fā)行，僅售1萬支。明年1月份將全面發(fā)售，預(yù)計(jì)銷售10萬支。
