煙草在線據(jù)stv.tv報(bào)道編譯　　在新煙草法于4月28日開(kāi)始生效后，大型零售商將被禁止展示卷煙和其他煙草產(chǎn)品。

　　英國(guó)公共衛(wèi)生部長(zhǎng)Michael Matheson稱，這一舉措是遏制青年人開(kāi)始吸煙的“正確措施”。

　　禁止公開(kāi)展示煙草的法令是作為《2010年煙草與初級(jí)醫(yī)療服務(wù)（蘇格蘭）法案》的一部分推行的。而《2010年煙草與初級(jí)醫(yī)療服務(wù)（蘇格蘭）法案》還將禁止自動(dòng)售賣機(jī)出售卷煙。

　　英格蘭、威爾士和北愛(ài)爾蘭已經(jīng)推行了防止大型商店展示卷煙和煙草產(chǎn)品的類似禁令。

　　不遵守法律的商店可能會(huì)被宣判違法，或收到來(lái)自貿(mào)易標(biāo)準(zhǔn)官員的固定罰款。

　　Matheson先生說(shuō)：“這些禁令是阻止蘇格蘭青年人開(kāi)始吸煙的正確措施?！?/p>

　　“眾所周知，吸煙與很多疾病有關(guān)，并且是身體狀況不佳和早亡的主要可預(yù)防原因。使用煙草每年在蘇格蘭造成13000多人死亡，56000人住院。

　　“這就是為什么政府要通過(guò)減少選擇吸煙的人數(shù)來(lái)改善人們健康狀況很重要的原因，有證據(jù)證明，接觸煙草促銷的青年人嘗試吸煙的可能性更大?！?/p>

　　蘇格蘭政府的《煙草控制戰(zhàn)略》也支持推行標(biāo)準(zhǔn)化包裝。

　　大型商店是指那些相關(guān)經(jīng)營(yíng)領(lǐng)域超過(guò)280平方米的商店。比較小的零售商到2015年4月6日時(shí)，必須遵守展示禁令。

UK: Supermarket Ban on Cigarette and Tobacco Displays Comes into Force

　　Large retailers have been banned from displaying cigarettes and other tobacco products after new legislation came into force on Sunday.

　　Public Health Minister Michael Matheson claimed the move was the "right step" to deter young people from taking up smoking.

　　The open display ban was introduced as part of the Tobacco and Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Act 2010, which will also see the sale of cigarettes from vending machines prohibited.

　　England, Wales and Northern Ireland have already brought in similar bans to prevent large stores from displaying cigarettes and tobacco.

　　Stores that do not comply could be convicted of a criminal offence or receive a fixed penalty fine from trading standards officers.

　　"These bans are the right step to prevent young people in Scotland from taking up smoking," Mr Matheson said.

　　"It is well known that smoking is associated with a range of illness and is the primary preventable cause of ill health and premature death. Each year, tobacco use is associated with over 13,000 deaths and 56,000 hospital admissions in Scotland.

　　"That is why it is so important that this government works to improve health by reducing the number of people who choose to smoke and evidence shows that young people exposed to the promotion of tobacco are more likely to try smoking."

　　The Scottish Government's Tobacco Control Strategy also supports the introduction of standardised packaging.

　　Large shops are defined as those with a relevant floor area exceeding 280 square metres. Smaller retailers have until April 6, 2015 to comply with the display ban. Enditem
