煙草在線據(jù)《國(guó)際煙草雜志》報(bào)道編譯　　《每日自由報(bào)》報(bào)道，根據(jù)4年內(nèi)每年將卷煙消費(fèi)稅提高一次的規(guī)定，首次提稅從12月1開始，每包卷煙的消費(fèi)稅上提12.5%，預(yù)計(jì)會(huì)使每包卷煙的平均價(jià)格提高至20澳元（13.4歐元）。

　　上提消費(fèi)稅的計(jì)劃在今年8月宣布，目的是通過在4年內(nèi)籌集大約53億澳元來幫助平衡預(yù)算。澳大利亞政府在8月表示，籌集的資金也將被用于阻止青年人吸煙，以及支付與吸煙有關(guān)的疾病的醫(yī)療費(fèi)用。隨后幾次12.5%的提稅，計(jì)劃在未來三年的9月1日開始實(shí)施。

　　《每日自由報(bào)》援引的癌癥協(xié)會(huì)的研究認(rèn)為，如果煙草價(jià)格上漲15%，會(huì)有近三分之二的吸煙者嘗試戒煙。

Australia: Quadruple-punch Tax Hikes Begin

　　Excise tax on a pack of cigarettes rose 12.5 per cent from 1 Dec under the first of four annual tobacco-tax hikes expected to raise the average pack price to AUD 20 (EUR 13.40), the Daily Liberal reported.

　　The excise tax plan was announced in August to help balance the budget by raising an estimated AUD 5.3 billion over four years. Funds also would be used to deter young people from smoking and paying medical costs of smoke-related diseases, the government said in August. Subsequent 12.5 per cent increases are planned for 1 Sept in the next three years.

　　Cancer Council research cited by the Daily Liberal held nearly two-thirds of smokers would try to quit if the price of tobacco increased 15 per cent. Enditem
