　　官方貿(mào)易數(shù)據(jù)顯示，在今年前8個(gè)月，向這個(gè)動(dòng)亂的北非國(guó)家的出口銷(xiāo)售額下降了19億先令（約合2240萬(wàn)美元），這期間正好是在埃及前總統(tǒng)穆罕默德·穆?tīng)栁?#xff08;Mohamed Morsi）被驅(qū)逐后，埃及阻礙經(jīng)濟(jì)活動(dòng)的暴力升級(jí)。

　　根據(jù)肯尼亞制造商協(xié)會(huì)（KAM）的統(tǒng)計(jì)數(shù)據(jù)，與煙草相關(guān)的出口收入，也經(jīng)歷了突然的下滑，從2012年的23億先令（2710萬(wàn)美元）下降到2013年到目前為止的4.19億先令（490萬(wàn)美元），下降了87%。

　　在內(nèi)羅畢證券交易所(NSE)上市的英美煙草公司，是肯尼亞最大的半加工煙葉制造商和出口商，該公司指出，盡管境外收入的減少將影響其營(yíng)業(yè)額，但國(guó)內(nèi)銷(xiāo)售的增加有助于減輕對(duì)總收入的影響。

　　“這些增長(zhǎng)抵消了煙絲（半加工煙葉）在此期間較低的出口。凈收入保持穩(wěn)定在90億先令，反映了較高的營(yíng)業(yè)額抵消了提高的消費(fèi)稅和增值稅?！?/p>

　　據(jù)肯尼亞當(dāng)?shù)貓?bào)紙《每日商報(bào)》消息，煙草出口占該國(guó)對(duì)埃及總的貿(mào)易供應(yīng)的10%以上。

Egypt Crisis Fingered For Drop In Kenyan Tobacco Exports

　　Kenya's Tobacco manufacturer, British American Tobacco (BAT) Kenya, has attributed the drastic fall in export revenue to the on-going crises in Egypt.

　　Official trade data reveals that sales to the troubled North African country dropped by Sh1.9 billion ($22.4 million) in the first 8 months of the year, coinciding with the escalation of violence that has hampered economic activities following the ousting of former president, Mohamed Morsi.

　　Earnings from Tobacco related exports, according to Kenya's Association of Manufacturers (KAM), also experienced a steep dive – dropping 87 percent from Sh2.3 billion ($27.1 million) last year to Sh419 million ($4.9 million) in 2013.

　　NSE-listed BAT, Kenya's largest manufacturer and exporter of semi-processed leaf, noted that though the reduced foreign income will impact its revenue turnover, improved domestic sales has helped cushion the effect on total income.

　　"Gross turnover went up by 4 percent during the six months to June 30, 2013. This increase reflects a 7 percent growth in domestic and export volumes over the prior period as well as the impact of improved mix and pricing on domestic sales," said BAT in an overview of half-year 2013 results.

　　"These increases compensated for lower cut rag [semi-processed leaf] exports over the period. Net revenue remained stable at Sh9 billion reflecting the higher turnover offset by higher excise and VAT."
